Some ppl live their lives as if they were ads… I mean, for example some women wear themselves out competing with each other \ud83d\ude2e\u200d\ud83d\udca8<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whoever, any woman who competes with another woman over a man is accepting three premises I fundamentally reject: that the man is the prize, that the man defines the value of the women around him, and that male attention is a scarce resource that justifies conflict between women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Personally, I operate from the inverse: I define my own value, the man is a candidate for my time, and the attention that matters is the one I give myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This week at a birthday party, a friend of a friend started competing with me over some guy there \u2014 it was completely pointless. I was like “Hmm, that only works against someone who actually cares, I’m just being friendly”, I didn’t even step into the ring \u2014 the whole game is absurd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think women shouldn’t compete or make their decisions as if the ultimate goal is to find the love of their life \u2014 as if the world were reduced to your close friends \ud83e\udee5<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Personally, I think actions like that are driven by insecurity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
