Be The Real One

Hello dear readers, today I’m writing to you from a peaceful place in Netherlands…

Life takes so many turns that we always end up dizzy and often confused about our life decisions. However, I urge you to accept the stages of your life, don’t rush stages or delay reaching the next one.

Life is what it is, and accepting it means accepting ourselves.

I always talk to you about accepting ourselves and all that jazz, but I’ve never given you my most secret techniques, never read before, until today haha

I think I’ll start by mentioning that when you accept yourself, you accept the stages of life you’re in. I link this to the following phrase I once read from my favorite philosopher, August Strindberg:

“When you are twenty, you believe you have solved the enigma of the world. At thirty, you reflect upon it. And, at forty, you discover that it is unsolvable.”

I must admit that this is not something easy to handle. I mean, the first time I shared this phrase in social media, several people in their twenties reacted saying, “That’s why it’s better to party every weekend without thinking twice.”

If you thought that too, you should put into practice what I mentioned last week about my secret on how to stop failing. I told you not to repeat the same actions you’ve been maintaining because they will only give you the same result.

There’s a phrase that perfectly complements what I’m telling you, written by actor Leonardo DiCaprio:

“Why worry? If you have done the very best, you can. Worrying won’t make it any better. If you want to be successful, respect one rule: Never let failure take control of you.”

After a while, I posted the phrase of August, but with my analysis:

“In your 20s, you thrive on the chaotic but essential exploration of life. In your 30s, you ponder the path you wish to follow, adjusting your direction, where the longing for youth mingles with a vision for the future. By your 40s, you realize that unraveling life’s puzzle is the outcome of leaning and adapting. The answer is merely to live, adding growth and wisdom from the path taken.”

After this analogy, I began to see many of those who had reacted to my post start to publish a change in their habits. They began to upload stories of these kinds of results that my writings leave that I will continue trying to positively influence the world, or at least I dreaming with that..

I’ll tell you a brief story. Some time ago, after finishing all my academic attestations, I sat in front of some fireplace, and I said to myself, ‘Kim, what’s next? I’ve achieved many accomplishments, but I don’t feel like I’ve achieved everything.’

Could it be that my journey involves leaving a legacy?’ And that’s when I started publishing songs I had composed at some point. In fact, that’s why I started writing, training for a triathlon, etc… but the point is that putting a stop to routine isn’t bad, it actually helps you stop doing the same thing because I believe there’s no worse shackle than habit. When you get used to something, the passion for life dies.

Personally, I consider myself an inveterate dreamer, in love with life, with the air I breathe, and above all, I always try to laugh when I’m bored, because I believe life is too short to be so serious, although sometimes it is difficult.

Well, be “the real one”. Friends who are looking for their Prince Charming, I must tell you that I’m super sure this guy doesn’t exist, and that with a lot of luck, who you can find is a gentleman with wounds, because true perfection is perfect imperfection.

Once I read some writing that said:

“I never had a real one, but I was always the real one.”

I liked it so much that quote. I’ve always believed that I’ll be the real one, even if my destiny is in raising one more dog and a kitten, you know, you always have to have a “plan B”

Just kidding..

I suggest so much that you be Your best version, because this is not for others, being the real one is for yourself, you will enjoy it, you will return to your first love, and that is you, who the first time you saw yourself in the mirror understood that everything you saw was projected from your existence 😉

How to achieve it, well I don’t have the secret, but I do have my recipe hehe

Admit your mistakes:

Recently I saw a reel where the speaker said, “When you understand that you not only exist, but that your existence has an intrinsic value in itself, you can no longer blame others for what happens to you.”

Human beings by default seek to avoid pain, and the mistakes they make affect them emotionally, but first we must understand that we are not perfect, that we are human. Stop intentionally putting the shackle of guilt on yourself or stop trying to put it on others when you blame them.

Admitting them allows you to grow, without pain you will never be your best version.

Study your emotions:

Personally, this was the hardest thing I ever did, accepting that I wasn’t a cyborg, but on the contrary, I was more human than I accepted being.

This allowed me to open up to pain, accept it if it happens, like that pain I intentionally seek when I go to the gym.

Ignoring emotions is a negative act against yourself, it’s as if you were poisoning your system. Learn to understand everything you feel, why you feel it. The aim is not to force yourself to create positive thoughts, it’s to transform negative ones into something healthy.

I’ll support this with an example, you know I’m a girl who likes exercise. When something hurts me, whether it’s from a business or social interaction, I go to the gym to give it my all, because I’m able to understand that I’m not made of plastic, that there are things that affect me but what’s important is not what I have but what I do with what I have.

Loving yourself is controlling yourself:

This is a dilemma for which I don’t have the answer, however, I believe that if you experience such deep pain, the only way is to take your body to the next level, you know what they say out there “there’s no evil that lasts 100 years, nor body that can endure it”, but well, hey be a little positive, if evil knocks on your door tell it well dear stay 100 years at least, I’m going to die anyway 😅

I leave you some of my rules, written in my book of rules that no one will ever see:

The goal is to learn to know ourselves as well as we know how to breathe.

There’s no such thing as work-life balance, only trade-offs.

Years of loyalty can work against you.

Listen to your gut—it’s full of data.

No risk, no rewards, and it’s funny remembering.

Get out of your own way, sometimes trying new things can give you a surprise.

Learn the honest truth about integrity, and become it in your main reason to make decisions.

You have to be good to be lucky, and whatever you want in life can be yours.

Bye now 💕
